No now definitely drawn to contemporary. Usually inspired by social issues. Then come up with character to highlight it.
My main ideas are all crime but I do have one bubbling that isn’t and I’ve written the outline for it. It’s quite outside my comfort zone though it will take a long time to write.
Everyone’s different, Carol, but I stick to writing crime fiction. If I ever get that right I may move on, but I’ve a very long way to go.

I was just thinking…some of the rural towns here are very inspiring but I wasn’t thinking crime fiction…
My first attempt at a novel was sci fi. Subsequent two have been contemporary YA. Different challenges….

That is interesting Rebecca…I have this idea that came from recent travels and countryside and it seemed to form all by itself.
