  1. I copied it from the site. Definitely not as good or detailed as your reviews but I did not want to give away too much of the tale. Apologies for the length. Hope you enjoy!

An interesting thriller involving husbands wives, ex-wives & babies. All of whom (other than the babies) lie to each other & themselves. The main character is an obsessive alcoholic who is still mentally involved with her ex-husband. She takes the train into the city everyday. It passes by the house she used to share with her husband – before he dumped her for another woman. The house backs on to the railroad tracks & she spends her days looking for her ex & the other woman in the backyard, as the train passes by.
Because of the amount she drinks, she tends to blackout. Which makes her an unreliable witness when things become perilous. And it doesn’t help that she lies all the time and that she tends to get caught in her lies.
This book does keep you reading but you do feel that when the author was writing it, she was thinking about how it would play on the big screen. Still, I did enjoy it & will definitely go see the film when it comes out.
    A solid 3.5 stars.

BTW – if you are a non-drinker, this might not be the book for you…………..you’ve been warned 🙂
