Huge congratulations!! I can imagine you are over the moon. You don’t fancy Grandma? Gran? These along with the ones you have listed are the only ones I know of.
Again, congratulations, you will have a fabulous time planning and buying and then getting lots of cuddles 🙂
Oh, what wonderful news, Carol!!! Congratulations! You’re going to love grandmothering! What’s probably going to happen is that your grandchild will come up with a name for you that will stick, and you’ll love it. Whatever name you go by, you’ll be great!
Congratulations, Carol! It’s amazing the news your read on a book blog. 🙂 Any Italian or Dutch in your heritage, because you could use Nonna or Oma. Other than that, I have no suggestions, I’m sorry. Still, it doesn’t take the gloss off your announcement!
Congratulations!!! But there must be some mistake – you’re not nearly old enough to be a grandmother! How about ‘Wise Woman’ or ‘O Great One’ or possibly ‘Your Highness’. I know! ‘Cherished Ancestor’ – Annie for short! 😉
Wise Woman – I wish 🙂 I am not old enough to called grandma, granny, gran etc 🙂 🙂 ..there must be something new and trendy out there. keeping thinking FF I know I can count on you to come up with something.
How exciting!! My nieces call my mom (who is only in her early 50’s!) Gram or Grammy, and Dad is Grampsy. Mom still has two kids at home, but she says the best way to be a grandma is just to embrace it, no matter your age! 😀
Congratulations!!! Fantastic news 🙂
Thanks Tracey – it is wonderful news – we are all very excited.
I have informed both of my fully grown adult childless children I prefer “Grandfather, Sir!”. They appeared unimpressed.
🙂

It is fabulous news – an no, the traditional names don’t do anything for me. There must be other choices? Already thinking/looking at baby gear 🙂
