This is a very delicately flavoured soup – which is easy to make, combines spices I wouldn’t have dreamed of using in this soup and the outcome is a restaurant quality starter or lunch made at home! (I used home grown pumpkins, sage from the garden to decorate and home made chicken stock).
What a warm, comforting soup, Carol! Sounds absolutely delicious! And looks lovely, too.
It is light and delicious Margot – a new cookbook is so inspiring 🙂
What sore of spices Carol? I have a recipe for a Moroccan pumpkin and lentil soup which has Moroccan spice and cumin in which makes for a lovely warming soup for winter. Looks like I need to buy this book Carol, it sounds like a book with multiple recipes to use, too often you get a cookbook with inky a couple of rcip s that you would actually make.
It has cinnamon quills and clove Janine- but your remove before blending – gives it a lovely flavour. Come Christmas time I am making the trifle in this book – I love trifle 🙂
