The sun shone … briefly.
Travel = husband, dog, 5th wheeler caravan, beautiful scenery, wild dolphins and books:)
Bob the Dog enjoying the sites and smells of holidays.
Dolphins playing in the river – you had to be there to appreciate it 🙂
The Animators – Five star reading
The Last Act of Hattie Hoffman – a fabulous read.
The Unfortunate Victim – a great Australian historical crime fiction read.
What more could you want?
On the road home we stopped for lunch at Pt Denison (near Dongara), it is a favourite place to take a break , have lunch and give Bob the Dog a walk, when in this region .
We had a BBQ lunch (the facilities here are beautiful); the foreshore is lush and there are gas BBQ’s and tables provided. And what a view!
He likes being on holiday. Horrocks Beach Caravan Park is fantastic – we can see the ocean from our caravan lounge room and it is a very short stroll to the beach.
Today it was 30 degrees at 4pm – feels like summer 🙂
Lovely to have our Perth based daughter visiting with us this week. Yesterday she took Bob the Dog (and her mum and dad) to The Beer Farm in Metricup (a ten minute drive from our place). What lovely surrounds – among the farms and vineyards; Margaret River Region is now becoming known for great locally produced beers as well as wines.
The best part of the outing, aside from my cider, was the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that Bob the Dog (a very well behaved dog) was welcome to join us.
