I am attending an amazing abstract watercolour workshop this weekend -it’s so energising. Thanks Stephanie Boyle Art
Thanks to the Cocoon Gallery for emerging artists at the Margaret River library I have my very first exhibition of vibrant abstract work.
If you are in our region I do hope that you can make the time to pop into the library’s foyer and check out my work. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them
We are currently celebrating the momentous achievement of my 60th birthday. Doesn’t time fly?
Feeling relaxed and pampered in Langkawi.
Home for a few days
It’s called “Rainy Days”
Season’s greetings to one and all. Starting the day by opening a present from a dear friend in Germany – a heartfelt gift, thanks so much Chris.
Look closely – I dabbled with some fluro colours – loved them wet but not so much when they dried – they dulled. Today I revamped the painting ( that’s what I like about using acrylics – you can paint over if you are not happy with the outcome) – I added a top coat, splattered then used a method called sgraffito to reveal some of the original colours. I love it.
What do you see here? An underwater scene? Flowers? Something under the microscope – bacteria, amoeba? What does your imagination see?
Blue, blue and blue🙂5 shades of blue to be exact plus silver, white, yellow, pink, purple … not sure if it’s finished, will wait a while and then see how I think about it. It’s called “My Happy Place.”
