It’s All About Perspective
Recently we hosted a couple of young travelers in our home for a labour exchange – have you heard of Helpx.net ? A great way to meet new people, learn about other cultures and get some jobs around the home done too. This time around we say thank you Jessie and Scotty (and Adele and Kendal who also stayed briefly with us).

What a wonderful afternoon! I have never seen so many whales on this coast line before. Amazing!
Everywhere we looked we saw whales!
And there was even one in this bay, close to shore – but we were not quick enough to capture it with the camera.

We are staying a few days in this wonderful welcoming town – the heart of so much great fresh produce, beautiful displays of roses and wonderful cafes.
On The Road Again…
Has anyone noticed the blog has been mysteriously quiet lately? We are on holiday! Our first stop – Lake Towerrining in Western Australia’s wheat belt was a fantastic place to stay ( but fortunately/unfortunately the internet signal was pretty hit and miss) hence the lack of recent communications – previous to that I have been flat out with one thing and another (including my mum being admitted to hospital – twice – and she is still there and my sister once). It has been a busy month or two.
We are fortunate to have been able to sneak in a quick two week break. Here are a couple of pictures of our recent stay. This tranquil place was a delight to visit and re charge the batteries.
We Are Back From A Short Holiday
We had a lovely refreshing short break – in our caravan, restful, with plenty of time for reading – we are now back on line 🙂
Bob the Dog enjoyed walks along the river, swims at the beach and coffee and cake at the cafe. He is such a well behaved dog.
