Here we at the beach with a smiling Bob the Dog – he just loves the water but not so keen on the waves. It is perfect in Augusta WA – must be one of my favourite spots for a holiday – even if it is only about forty minutes from home 🙂
Bob bounding back from the waves at Waterloo Bay, Elliston South Australia. Love his smile. 🙂 He loves the beach.
It was a perfect day for a leisurely drive to Busselton where we had a walk along the lovely foreshore and took Bob off the lead for a paddle at the beach.
The Busselton Jetty and foreshore have recently been redeveloped and now provides a perfect place for a stroll, a picnic or a BBQ. The foreshore is dotted with BBQs, tables, shelters and drinking water on tap. The car parks have been extended and there is plenty of room for all including large vehicles to park. A great spot.
Yesterday we went fishing where the Bowes River meets the ocean. This really is a spectacular coast line. We enjoyed the fishing and despite the water being a little choppy we caught a fish each with our first casts.
Bob enjoyed the waves, having a paddle in the ocean and a run along the beach. It was fantastic to have this great expanse of beach to ourselves.
We had fresh fish for lunch!
After a chilly night at Dandaragan we set off at a leisurely pace for Horrocks Beach via a picnic lunch atPort Dennison – the sun was shining, the skies a glorious blue…this is the life! After lunch we headed to our final destination – Horrocks Beach, a wonderful location right by the sea and a dog friendly caravan site. More pictures tomorrow. It is wine o’clock.
