I have so many books waiting to be read I thought I would give you a sneak peek of what is coming soon. 🙂
I am trying to mix up my reading a little – as we all know variety is the spice of life.
In the Completely Different Category:
Murder in Mississippi
The True Story of How I Met a White Supremacist, Befriended His Black Killer and Wrote this Book by John Safran.
A True Story – now this looks interesting!
Crime Fiction – with a warning. NOT TO BE READ AT NIGHT. Can cause nightmares and restless sleep…
Cross and Burn
Another episode in the DCI Carol Jordon / Tony Hill series by Val McDermid. I love a good psychological murder/mystery.
Great Expectations:
The Midas Murders by Pieter Aspe
After reading and loving The Square of Revenge, Pieter’s first novel I have great expectations for this read.
A New Australian Woman Writer – Always Great to Support Australian Talent 🙂
Hades – By Candice Fox – the name kinda says it all really. Cant wait to start reading.
And One for all You New and Aspiring Writers:
From A Dead Sleep by John A Daly.
Now what is so different you ask about this work of crime fiction – the story ? I cant tell you about that yet as I haven’t started reading 🙂 But I have seen the book trailer and enjoyed that but what also caught my attention was how this book was published (this is the interesting bit for new or aspiring writers). BQB Publishing – a new way to support upcoming writers and get your book published- it is about HYBRID PUBLISHING – if you want to learn more check out this link to their web site. They are a unique mix of self and traditional publishing.
Interesting bunch! I’ve also just acquired the Pieter Aspe one. I’ll be interested in your review of Val McDermid – as I think I told you, I’ve gone off her a bit recently so it’ll be good to know if she’s back on form…
I know what you mean about McDermid….I have started reading and it is so scary…the tension was there from the first page. I have read about 40% of the book and I seriously dont read before going to bed. I’ll let you know how I get on.
I thought we might have the Pieter Aspe in common 🙂
Mm..you make the McDermid sound good – hurry up and finish it, so I can request it if it’s still good at the end… 😉
Just finished…request away. I wasn’t disappointed. For me it was all about the tension…and that was heart stoppingly good. And a satisfactory ending.
On your head be it… 😉
Just popped in to request it, and it’s set up as a ‘Read Now’ – I wonder why? I wouldn’t have thought they’d have been short of requests for this one.
hmm…interesting….I wonder why?
