In the mail this week I received some fantastic reads – a few by authors I have rad before, a few that are new to me. In this stack are a few works of crime fiction; some Australian crime fiction, a couple of true crime, some international crime writers, crime with a paranormal twist, crime written by local author (Ian Andrew) and…some contemporary reads. I have started reading “When the Music Is Over” by Peter Robinson – my first DCI Banks read and I am looking forward to reading the new offering from Australian author Fleur Ferris “Black”- I loved her first book “Risk“. So many great reads ahead of me.

Reading, Writing and Riesling 
I read The Sting and really enjoyed the writing on such a huge true crime case in Australia. What’s the paranormal crime one?
It is the second book by Gary Kemble – Bad Blood. He mixes the genres up with a paranormal element. Loved Skin Deep (the last one)
Wow, what a bounty you have there!! I think Fleur Ferris’s novel would be a good one to start with!

You’ve got some terrific books, Carol! I think Peter Robinson’s incredibly talented, so I’m especially hoping you’ll like that one. But the rest look appealing, too.
I will finish the Peter Robinson tonight- very relevant to events this week and of late and he manages to make a few comments re 50 shades etc had a sense of humour I think 😄
